KIDS MINISTRY AT HARMONY HILL
We want to equip and walk alongside you as you lead your child in a growing relationship with Jesus.
Partnering with Families to Teach Kids About Christ
At our church, we’re passionate about partnering with families to help kids discover and grow in their faith. We believe the Bible is the true word of God and use it as our primary source of teaching. Our goal is to bring the stories and lessons of the Bible to life, creating meaningful experiences for children.
Our dedicated teachers are not only safe-kids trained but also committed followers of Christ who are eager to share the gospel. They’ve provided written testimonies of their faith and come prepared to guide your children on their spiritual journey.
We recognize that parents are the primary spiritual leaders in their children’s lives. That’s why we offer valuable take-home materials to support and empower you in teaching and nurturing your child’s faith at home. Together, we can inspire and encourage your children to know and love Christ.
Join us in this exciting adventure of faith, learning, and growth!
What We Do
We use the Bible as our primary source of content and believe it is the true word of God. Children are our main focus as we seek to make life experiences through the reading of God’s word. Our teachers have been safe-kids trained, provided written testimonies of their faith and come prepared to share the gospel message. We believe that parents are the primary spiritual leaders and teachers of their children, and we support our parents. We provide take-home information that can be used by parents in the home to further teach and stimulate their children to know Christ.
I’m New
We are so excited that you are considering joining us for a Wednesday evening or Sunday morning. Here are some helpful things for you to know about our program before you arrive.
Check-In Procedure
As a first-time guest you will be asked to fill out the guest sign-in card as you arrive on Sunday or Wednesday. On Wednesday night many parents are in Life Groups so we ask for a cell phone number to reach you in case of emergency.
Each child will receive a guest tag that has a matching number for you to be able to pick them up. No child can be picked up without the matching number. Also if you are needed at any point during the services on Sunday, the number will appear on the screen in the Worship Center, and you will need to report to the Children’s Center. If you have only one child and they are upstairs in the Admin. Center (2nd through 5th grade), you may go directly to that location.
Child Safety
At Harmony Hill, we hold the safety of our families and our children in the highest regard. Each week, our team follows these guidelines to ensure the protection of all our classrooms, volunteers and, especially our children.
- All children are given a name tag with their name, pertinent health information (such as allergies), and a randomly generated code. This code matches the label given to the parent. If any issues should arise with a child, the parent will be paged by a posting of this code on the main service screens.
- The parent label is required for pick-up of the child.
- There are two (2) volunteers in every room, and each room is equipped with windows.
- Outer doors are locked, and security is provided.
- Bathroom Procedures:
- No male volunteers are allowed to change diapers or take children to restrooms.
- Kindergarten–5th grade: The volunteer walks the children to the restrooms and waits in the hallway. They must always go with a minimum group of two (2) children.
- Parents who wish to stay in the classroom with their child are allowed to do so but are not allowed to take any child to the restroom or change any diaper.
We use the following procedures in selecting volunteers for any area with children. Each prospective volunteer must:
- Fill out an extensive volunteer application.
- Pass a thorough background check which includes state and FBI checks.
- Submit two (2) character references.
- Additionally, each prospective volunteer is interviewed.

Action Ministry
Action Ministry focuses on following God’s truth by putting our love for children with diverse special needs into ACTION. We strive to accomplish this by not only welcoming families with children who have special needs, but by providing support to them when needed.
Mother’s Day Out
We welcome you to our Mother’s Day Out program. We love children and believe in family values and that as Christians, we are responsible to help our parents guide their children in God’s ways. We are a Bible-based ministry of Harmony Hill Baptist Church, where we believe children are a priority. By using WEE LEARN Curriculum and other developmental activities, we encourage social, physical, emotional, and spiritual growth.

Frequently Asked Questions
Tips for First-Time Guests
Try to arrive 15 minutes early.
As a first-time guest on Sunday mornings, we’d like to personally show you around and answer any questions you may have. By arriving early, it gives us time to do all that and keep you from missing any part of the service.
If you have an infant or toddler, pack accordingly!
We know how those little ones love their blanket or stuffed animals, so feel free to bring those as well as any diapers or bottles that help them feel comfortable. Label everything you bring so we can make sure you get it back.
I've got some questions; who can I talk to?
You may call the church office during regular hours (M–Th 9 a.m.–5 p.m.) at (936) 632-1350.
Volunteer with Kids
We’re always looking for volunteers. There are multiple opportunities on Sunday, Wednesday, Action and Mother’s Day Out.
